Pixel Invaders is a retro-style arcade shooter inspired by classic alien-invasion games. Waves of pixel invaders descend from the top of the screen — blast them before they reach the bottom.
Use the arrow keys (or on-screen touch controls on mobile) to move your cannon left and right, and press spacebar or tap to fire. Clear each wave of invaders to advance to the next, faster level.
Clear the outer columns first to slow the descent of the formation. Stay under cover, fire in short bursts, and keep an eye on faster bonus targets.
The genre was defined by Space Invaders, released by Taito in 1978, which set the template for fixed shooters.
